10 of my Favorite Weekend Finds

So here are some of the AWESEOME deals I found this weekend at the mall, Goodwill Clearance Center, and wherever else I went. (I didn't buy TOO much more than 10 things...I just figured that lists are always nice). :)
  1. Green Shirt, $7. (Pictured on far left).
  2. Purple T-Shirt, $3. (2nd picture... I got this in purple, white, and dark gray).
  3. Eddie Bauer Vest, $1. (3rd picture... this was a GCC find!)
  4. Multi-color Vest, $5. (Far right picture... yes, that is quite a wierd pose. Tim was laughing at me while I was taking pictures, so I just had to "strike" a wierd one).

  5. Salmon-ish Colored Dress, $1.50 (Another GCC find! I picked it up and had a long, internal debate as to whether or not I wanted to give it a try. I'm glad I did! It looks a little funny around my growing belly... luckily it looks alright in the picture).

  6. Tan and Pink-heeled Pumps, $6 (Pictured in the middle).
  7. Awesome Cowboy Boots! $1.50 ("Welcome to Texas!" hahaha... I kept teasing Tim that he should get himself a pair...and then while I was at the GCC, I saw these. Well, I saw one boot, then I scoured the store for the other boot. Couldn't find it, couldn't find it, said a little prayer, and Wah-Lah! There it was! I need to research how to clean/polish 'em up).
  8. A baseball, $0.50 (not pictured).
  9. 4 Tall Glasses, $1.00 (not pictured).
  10. An OXO Salad Spinner, $5 (not pictured).
I think I know where to bring my mom and sisters when they come and visit...

Firsts

1. Today was the first time I started to have a pretty hard time squeezing into my jeans. :O

2. The first time I actually scared Tim: a few nights ago, we finished dinner and plopped down on the couch to watch some T.V. My stomach was feeling a bit squished, so I unbuttoned my pants and lifted my shirt off my stomach to air it off. After a while of watching T.V., I felt my stomach and exclaimed, "Tim! My stomach is really COLD!"

Tim played it cool, and asked why... then he saw that my shirt was up the whole time, and he started laughing. He then told me that he was really worried. Okay, probably does NOT sound funny to you at all...but it really was. :P

3. Hmmm... guess this isn't a "first time" for forgetting what I was going to type.

4. The first time I've had a really good "onion tortilla" thing in a long time! Inside there's an egg, bay leaves, and sauce. YUM!

5. I think this is on of my first "cravings"... shaved ice with fresh fruit, a scoop of ice-cream, and sweetened condensed milk on top (of course!)

6. The first guest in our "new" apartment.

7. My first time using my pregnancy-yoga DVD.

Tim angled the photo this way so that you can see (on top of the ottoman on the right) my paper plate with a slice of strawberry-rhubarb pie on top.

8. Mmm...our first time in Chinatown (for a long time) and what did we find? Some wonderful little bread dong-xi's that we'd find on the streets of Taiwan! (It's biscuit-shaped caked/bread that they fill with custard, red beans, or taro...yum!) We bought one of each flavor...the custard was the best!

9. The first full-body pic of me (taken a couple weeks ago)... trying to "capture" the big belly...obviously didn't work very well. :P

10. The first REAL meal I was able to eat (at a restaurant...this was actually right before we went home for Christmas). This is a family-style Greek meal we went to eat with some friends. Delicious!

The bestest husband in the world...

10 Reasons Why Tim is the Bestest Husband in the World:

  1. He's super-duper excited for the baby. (I think he's ever MORE excited than I am!)
  2. He asked the lady-mama's at his work about their docs, then setup my appointments for me (about a week after the pregnancy test).

  3. He makes me AMAZING proportioned breakfasts (now that I can eat "normally") of one (1) sunnyside-up egg, about a half-cup of chunky hashbrowns, one or two slices of lean turkey bacon, and one slice of whole wheat (double fiber) toast.

  4. He reminds me to take my prenatal vitamins at night.

  5. He's been doing a fantabulous job of cooking and cleaning...and laundry!

  6. He takes care of all our bills and keeps detailed records in Quicken.

  7. He's leveled my Mage from 35 to 75 in the past few weeks.

  8. He thinks of the cutest (and strangest) nicknames for me: love, sweet pea, tinkles (b/c I'm always going pee during the night), chunky ("Only because you are NOT chunky right now. When you get bigger, I won't call you that.")

  9. He'll talk to my sisters when I'm "too tired" to talk.

  10. He makes me laugh...even if it ends up grossing-me-out at the same time.
